Why is Piotrkowska Street worth visiting?
The atmospheric promenade of Piotrkowska Street is the biggest pride of Łódź which attracts crowds of tourists every year. The former trade route has undergone numerous changes and renovations in recent years. As a result, among others, you will find the beautifully restored, nineteenth-century tenement houses; a series of sculptures of the iconic personalities of Łódź, and a film star avenue.
A 4.2-kilometer-long walk is a must-see when visiting the former capital of the Polish textile industry. In addition to the historic buildings, tourists appreciate the so-called small-architecture objects such as decorative fountains, the iconic monuments of Miś Uszatek or Ławeczka Tuwima (Tuwim's bench) which belongs to the Gallery of Great Citizens of Łódź.
Piotrkowska is also the center of the nightlife including the most attractive music clubs, bars, and discos.
